Deposit & Cancellation Policy:

• We require all new & infrequent clients to pay a booking deposit of £10 (which will be deducted from your final bill). 
• If you need to cancel your appointment, you must provide us with at least 48 hours notice in order to avoid a cancellation fee.
• If less than 48 hours notice is given, we will charge a penalty fee of 50% of your estimated groom price. This must be paid in full before any further bookings are made.
• If less than 24 hours notice is given, we will charge a penalty fee of 100% of your estimated groom price. This must be paid in full before any further bookings are made.

These fees are in place to protect the business & to deter people from not attending appointments (a.k.a ‘no-shows’). Last minute cancellations & ‘no-shows’ have a devastating impact on small service businesses like Lovely Pups, so we take it very seriously.

Full Terms:

In consideration for my dog being permitted to be a client at Lovely Pups with Mia, I make the following representation & agree to all of the following:

I confirm that my pet is fit, healthy & fully vaccinated; should this change, I will inform my groomer immediately.

I understand & I am aware, that all due care will be taken with my dog for the safety of the dog & the groomer.

I am aware that neglect of my dog’s coat by me can be a cause for problems after grooming, such as clipper or brush irritation.

If my dog is excitable, aggressive, uncooperative or does not remain still during grooming, I understand that accidents can happen, such as nicks/scrapes from clippers or scissors or irritation/abrasion as a result of the normal grooming process; with particular acceptance that these incidents are more likely if my dogs coat is matted or in poor condition.

If my pet bites, or attempts to bite, the groomer, a muzzle may be used; or, at the discretion of the groomer, treatment may stop & I will pay for all work done to that point.

If my pet causes injury to a member of Lovely Pups, or to another client (canine or human), I agree to pay all expenses incurred as a result of the injury.

If I fail to collect my pet at the agreed time, I will pay the extra fees due.

If my pet harbours any parasites, I agree to pay the surcharge due.

If I do not cancel an appointment within the required 48 hours’ notice I agree to pay the necessary fees.

I agree that if my pet requires emergency medical treatment, my groomer may arrange for this to be carried out at my nominated veterinary practice, or at a practice closer to the salon which has availability for emergency treatment.

I understand & agree that I will be responsible for the costs of any emergency medical treatment to my dog, including the veterinary practice fees. I agree to indemnify & reimburse my groomer for any costs incurred on my behalf.

The undersigned for & in consideration of the grooming service provided by Mia at Lovely Pups agrees to save & hold harmless the groomer from any damage, loss or claims arising from a pre-existing condition of the undersigns pet either known or unknown to the groomer.

I confirm all the information I supplied above is true. I accept & consent entirely to the terms & conditions shown & I have read & understand all of my obligations, specifically in relation to matting, grooming procedures, personal property, salon etiquette, expected grooming time, use & release of photos & videos relating to my pet, my duty to disclose information regarding my pet, veterinarian liabilities & care, cancellation policies, payment policies, complaint policies & acceptance / knowledge of grooming participation risk.
